Year 3/4 Swimming Carnival

Wow! What a lot of fun we had at the Year 3 and 4 Swimming Carnival. Read different parts of our recounts below.

As we walked down to the pool I was feeling nervous because lots of people were crowding around us waiting for the carnival to start.
By Maggie

I sat in my chair shivering through all of the length races. Finally it was the width races.
By Kyla

Bang! the relay clappers went off. Liam K went first, he touched Bea, Bea touched Tahnee then Tahnee touched Arlen. This was it, Arlen and Bailey were facing off.
By Esuru

Bang! went the clappers. I felt as if there were a party in my stomach and it was singing, "Go Arlen, go Arlen," over and over again.

Bubbles

This week we have been writing recounts about our bubble experience with our buddy class. Here are some sentences from our recounts.

On a thundery Friday afternoon I was so excited and I was wondering what we were going to do with our buddies. When we went to Room 3, we found out they were learning about bubbles.
By Soobin

The bubbles were as light as air. I wondered when my buddy was blowing bubbles, how can bubbles be see-through?
By Maggie

Bubbles were surrounding me, they looked a bit like candy floss because of the rainbow colours.
By Arlen

Last Friday we blew bubbles with our buddies. They felt ticklish. They felt slippery and slimy.

Meet our Buddy Class

Our buddy class is Room 3. We met our buddies for the first time on Friday afternoon. We sang songs and read to our buddies. We are really looking forward to hosting our full school assembly in week 9 on Friday 30 March.
