Holiday Photo Recount
I am learning to visualise a holiday photo in my head and recount the event.
In the holidays I went in the car to Rotorua. I did lots of things. My favourite activity was going down the hill on the luge. It was crazy fun. I went one time with mum and one time with dad.

Crocodile Descriptions
We have been learning to write a description.
A long, long time ago there lived a crocodile who was fat and greedy. She lived in a murky river. She had eyes like meatballs and her jaws were sharp like a lions. Her mouth was wide open. She had a tail that was huge and a fat body. Her claws were as sharp as a knife. Her skin was bumpy and she had short legs.

More Thinkers Keys
Why might a jellyfish be laughing?
Someone is tickling it.
A clownfish is acting funny.
A fish has its face stuck to the sand.
An octopus is walking upside down.
A starfish is dancing.
A fish is trying to fly.
It is having so much fun playing Shock Tag.
Thinkers Keys
Our buzz groups had to think of interesting questions to ask a whale.
Who are your enemies?
Where do you go to the toilet?
What group do you belong to?
How do you breathe?
Who is your worst predator?
What type of whale are you?
How do you squirt water from your blowhole?
Where did the name 'whale' come from?
What do people use your fat for?
Who are your enemies?
Where do you go to the toilet?
What group do you belong to?
How do you breathe?
Who is your worst predator?
What type of whale are you?
How do you squirt water from your blowhole?

What do people use your fat for?

Jump Jam
In our writing group this week we have been learning to write sense poems. Please read our poems about Jump Jam.
I can see the people puffing like a steam train as they perform more actions.
I can feel the ground shaking like an earthquake because of the booming speakers.
I can hear the music stopping and starting like a rap.
I can smell all the dust drifting into my nose.
I can taste the sweat dripping in my mouth.
