Colour Poem

For homework in the last week of term one, Room 9 were asked to use at least six of their spelling words to write a poem.

Stephanie wrote a colour poem.

Red looks like a rose growing on a thorny bush.
Red smells like fresh raspberries with strawberries in a bowl.
Red feels like the warmth of the sunrise of a new day over Rangitoto.
Red tastes like candy floss on a stick at the Kumeu Show.
Red sounds like a fire burning in the fireplace keeping me warm at home.

Mahad wrote...

Mahad
Brother of Ashan
Who loves his family, friends and cricket
Who feels happy when he eats ice cream
Who needs electricity and food and water
Who gives love and painful high 5's
Who fears lions
Who'd like to see Shane Watson
Who dreams of being a famous cricket player
A student at Sunnybrae Normal School
Chaudhary
